Did you know that Sigur Rós lead singer Jónsi has been doing solo stuff? Sorry, I’m a little behind the curve. The craziest part: it’s in ENGLISH. I’m not sure I actually like knowing what he’s saying.

“Nominally, The Police were punk rock, but that’s only in the loosest sense of the term. The trio’s nervous, reggae-injected pop/rock was punky, but it wasn’t necessarily punk.”
Pandora, what are you even trying to say?
Jason Myles Goss songwriting prompt →
If you have not yet heard of Jason Myles Goss, you have to. He is a brilliant songwriter and he graduated from my high school. This is a link to a blog that I guess gives artists prompts and they write songs for the topic. This one is winter. Click on the first song on the music player on the left to hear it (it took me a while to find it). If you like it, go check out his website!

Moving out to the Berkshires after living 45 minutes out of Boston my whole life, I was stunned at how much worse the radio was out here. Back home, I get stations from Boston and Providence, including my favorite rock station, WAAF. Aside from fewer selections, I have noticed on long car rides where the Boston stations slowly fade out that the Western Mass stations repeat the same few songs....
I love Bassnectar →
I hope you do too. Best dubstep there is. And guess what? They have a bunch of free downloads on their site. My personal favorites are the Where Is My Mind Remix and “Yes”.
Is it just me or does Taylor Swift’s song about John Mayer, “Dear John” have this bluesy guitar that sounds just like him? Coincidence? I think not.
Taylor’s more talented than ya’ll thought.
Radiohead Releasing New Album This Saturday
I’m pooping my pants.
nothingsoundsbetter:
In typical Radiohead fashion, out of seemingly no where they will be releasing a new album, The King of Limbs, available first for digital download at the end of this week—-Feb. 19th, 2011. Head here for the preorder.

Weird that I’m in the mood to listen to John Mayer and Taylor Swift today. Apparently my subconscious still wants to celebrate Valentine’s Day even though I’m glad Tom and I aren’t celebrating it. Such a silly holiday. All the singles out there: this day really isn’t that different from any other except people feel the desire to spend copious amounts of money on each...

How The Decemberists Ruined Indie Rock →
Speaking of the Decemberists…here’s a GREAT article. Maybe one of the best music articles I’ve ever read.
